The Running Game Strategy
The aim of the Running Game plan is to entice all your pieces into your inner board and pull them off as quickly as you could. This technique focuses on the pace of advancing your pieces with little or no time spent to hit or barricade your opponent’s pieces. The best time to employ this strategy is when you believe you might be able to shift your own pieces faster than your opposing player does: when 1) you have less pieces on the game board; 2) all your pieces have past your competitor’s checkers; or 3) your opposing player does not use the hitting or blocking strategy.
The Blocking Game Technique
The main goal of the blocking strategy, by its title, is to block your competitor’s checkers, temporarily, while not worrying about moving your checkers rapidly. After you’ve created the blockage for the competitor’s movement with a few pieces, you can shift your other checkers rapidly off the board. You will need to also have an apparent plan when to extract and shift the pieces that you employed for blocking. The game gets intriguing when the competitor utilizes the same blocking tactic.
