So if you hit them multiple times, they will have to return a number of pieces back on the board and get past your checkers to succeed. Be certain you do not hit where it’ll cause you to be vulnerable to being hit yourself. Unless of course it will be advantageous to you, as in early in the game when your competitor will not have you barricaded in.
Landing a hit when you have a block started can also be beneficial due to the fact that once you get a couple of points blocked, your challenger will have a difficult time moving their pieces out of your home board and winning.
